Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted September 12, 2009 Veteran Share Posted September 12, 2009 Ever since i installed snow Leopard the screen sharing application will crash on load. Has anyone else had this issue and also is there an easy way of remedying it without reinstalling Snow leopard from scratch instead of upgrade? Elliott
I would just send the report to Apple, telling them that it's crashing on launch. I was having the same problem, but it seems like 10.6.1 fixed it for me. Obviously not for you. :(
giga Veteran Posted September 13, 2009 Veteran Share Posted September 13, 2009 Did you move your Screen Sharing application from the Core Services folder? Before you upgraded to 10.6? Try the one in Core Services. Also try deleting com.Apple.ScreenSharing.plist.
Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted September 14, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted September 14, 2009 I think that it is safe to say that they updated the Screen Sharing app in Snow Leopard and the version that i had copied and moved to my applications folder was the old leopard version. When i copied the version from the core services folder into my applications folder it worked like a charm. Thanks Giga!
giga Veteran Posted September 15, 2009 Veteran Share Posted September 15, 2009 It's not wise to move system applications out of their original locations. Just make an alias to it in your Applications folder.
