Nutshell
I created a BartPE boot disk for an elderly gentlemen. The disk is fine, but a critical file contains one line with some very unpleasant language. Please remember, generations ago men usually did not curse in front of women, and women weren't suppose to use "off color" language at all! The file is an executable that loads in the system tray. It displays a splash screen with the words "half-assed." Except for this unfortunate line, the rest of the plugin is very good. The file was created with the popular scripting program AutoIt. Resource Hacker couldn't open this file because it's compressed, but Resource Tuner did the job easily. All the resources were displayed by Resource Tuner. The problem is I can't find the line anywhere. The splash screen is probably a jpeg or gif. I moved the file out of its folder to my desktop. I was hoping an error box would appear, listings its dependencies. Unfortunately, it seems to load from any location. I ran Sysinternals Process Explorer and Process Monitor. Neither app pointed to another file where this line might be hidden. How could a line contained in a splash screen be so completely hidden? I need an app that will uncover this line so I can edit it out. Which resource editor should I use?

Nutshell
I created a BartPE boot disk for an elderly gentlemen. The disk is fine,
but a critical file contains one line with some very unpleasant language.
Please remember, generations ago men usually did not curse in front
of women, and women weren't suppose to use "off color" language
at all!
The file is an executable that loads in the system tray. It displays a
splash screen with the words "half-assed." Except for this unfortunate
line, the rest of the plugin is very good.
The file was created with the popular scripting program AutoIt. Resource
Hacker couldn't open this file because it's compressed, but Resource Tuner
did the job easily. All the resources were displayed by Resource Tuner.
The problem is I can't find the line anywhere. The splash screen is
probably a jpeg or gif. I moved the file out of its folder to my desktop.
I was hoping an error box would appear, listings its dependencies.
Unfortunately, it seems to load from any location.
I ran Sysinternals Process Explorer and Process Monitor. Neither app
pointed to another file where this line might be hidden.
How could a line contained in a splash screen be so completely hidden?
I need an app that will uncover this line so I can edit it out. Which resource
editor should I use?
