zuperfluff
and the story goes: my brother was uploading some files to my ftp site. everything went as usual, but when he closed the ftp screen he noticed his desktop folder now read 'desktop' vs 'escritorio'. he doesn't know how that happened since his computer's in spanish by default, and is freaking out and sending me emails by the second. now, the question is not why it happened (at least to me), but how can he rename his desktop folder so it shows the name in spanish again? i have to admit it hasn't happened to me, but i noticed that trying to change the name is not such an easy task. help? ~the fluff~
Elliott
Open Terminal, located in /Applications/Utilities, and just type sudo mv ~/Desktop ~/Escritorio. It'll prompt the user for their password and then it should do it no problem.
