Tharp Daddy
I personally use GameInformer, if i don't want to wait for the magazine or visit the website i might check out IGN, though they tend to be QUITE biased in their reviews, you can still get a general feel of the game from them. lawtai
I usually check Gamespot or IGN.
Spookie
Gametrailers - Purely for their Invisible Walls podcast. They are more than happy to be complete candid on their views on a game. Eurogamer - If I'm splashing out ?40 on a game. I want someone to be over critical on the gameplay and niggles. Sethos - I count the amount of bile produced, if it's over 5mm I tend to avoid the game.;)) ;D Failing that Metacritic to get a overview of the scores. I avoid IGN & Gamespot like the plague because they are on the take from publishers for scores.
Septimus
Eurogamer. Though they are a bunch of 360 fanboys the reviews themselves are a good read. Gametrailers just for the video content, the reviews are usually ********.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted September 17, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted September 17, 2009 Just read them all and cross reference complaints/pros before trying myself. If I have to pick probably 1UP.
Snakehn
i used to read gamespot a lot but after those "scandals" with EA and people fired for not giving good reviews, i just stick with Gametrailers now.

svnO.o
I'm a big fan of IGN. I just like how they have everything set up and enjoy watching the daily gaming news videos they have with Jessica Chobot.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted September 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted September 17, 2009 Yeah I have to agree, Sethos is a good indicator if I'll like a game or not. Otherwise I like to read and watch as many reviews as I can, but I rarely base any purchases on what they have to say.
DrunkenBeard
Usually Eurogamer is a nobrainer when I want to see if something is worth my money, but I tend to see some french review websites sometimes.
rajputwarrior
i usually just go to metacritic and read what everyone says. IGN is good too. I listen to people on here too when they make an opinion too.
SimplySchizo
Gamespot....very trustworthy. Gamespot is a joke! After that whole ordeal when they fired Jeff Gerstmann for an honest review on "Kane & Lynch", they really shed light on how they operate. They lost a couple great guys there, which ended up forming Giant Bomb. Which for some reason I cant bring myself to check for reviews. I check the reviews on 1Up, IGN, and comparisons on GameTrailers.

Pupik
I don't read reviews. I watch a few gameplay (note: not trailers) videos and if there's a demo play it, and then judge the game by myself.

SiCKX
GameTrailers and IGN. The first are usually spot on with my opinion on the game and have the only video review that sounds right. If I watch an IGN review I feel like in a retirement home. :D But their rating is OK. BlackSteyrAug
I picked IGN, but I usually read my buddy's website if it's not on IGN. I check both.

Haha that is the first thing that came to mind lol Sethos is a very good indication if it is my type of game or not(Y)) I really enjoy Gametrailers overall presentation in their video reviews. Yahtzee for the laughs and if possible a demo to determine whether it is worthy...
