.Kompressor
Since alot of this site revolves around tech questions/solutions why doesn't IPB add a feature where if the solution is answered correctly or fixes a persons problem you can just mark that post "Green" as the accepted solution by the original poster or by mods if the O.P. forgot to.. this would only apply to topics that have solutions obviously. it would speed up having to read through pages and pages of posts to find the answer. if you've used experts-exchange.com you would know what I mean...about marking a post "accepted solution" maybe there's a plugin module for ipb that can add that feature.. - the "Accepted Solution" button could be right next to "reply" "quote" etc. and the whole post is marked in green or different colour. - also if you seach the forums for a problem similar to yours and you come across a thread that has a solution you can read the first post and then from there jump off to the solution post. maybe it could be for subscribers only too....whatever... kimsland
I think that's an excellent idea But who decides who's got the correct post? The OP? Because the OP may think that the member who posted format Windows was better than the member who suggested run a Malware scan ;) Also forums tend to be a community, and therefore all replies are valid, or possibly the replies help in resolving the issue eventually, therefore the last post (lets say) may get all the credit, when the 20 posts before it may all be good Anyway, I'll go now
Antaris Veteran Posted September 18, 2009 Veteran Share Posted September 18, 2009 I remember asking this question (in a round about way), here: https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?show...=626493&hl=
