Phildeeze
http://www.the-console-corner.com/xecutor2_lite.htmtry that link. Thanks! My X2 Lite shipped today! :woot: I'm starting to download some stuff now, can anyone suggest the dash you think is best?
b0se
B0se, the original screw works fine for the Martix. Just be sure not to screw it in too tightly, those mobo standoffs are made of plastic. Thats the problem, the thread on the mobo is now dodgy since it took ages to seat, so we need a longer screw....
Briandl79
For anyone looking for a modchip, I'll have the Xecuter 2.1 Lite and Pro in-stock tomorrow. You can check out our references on ResellerRatings.com where we have a 9.72 rating out of 10. Of course I also carry some other Xbox accessories. :D
ToiletofSadness
I asked this question before, and got an answer, but when I searched for it I couldn't find it, so here it is again :) :What is the type / size of the screw needed for the Xbox Matrix mod chip (it needs to be a bit longer than the original)? Just take the old screw with you to a hardware store...I'm sure someone there would be able to find a match.

My X2 Lite shipped today! :woot: I'm starting to download some stuff now, can anyone suggest the dash you think is best? it's either evox or xbmb. if you plan on using it for your total media center, then i recommend xbmb. otherwise evox is still king. oh hey guys, if you are in the states, have you tried gamefly.com yet? you can rent games for $21 a month, 2 out at a time, all shipping pre-paid. they have a 10 day free trial, which i am doing now. Briandl79
w00t! Just got another modded Xbox ! I've actually had it for about three weeks but just got it recently fixed and modded. You see I got it on the cheap because the person who had it must have thought it was broken, turns out it was just in PAL mode and after a quick change to NTSC it worked perfectly. Anyhow I had to wait until I got more modchips in-stock and I got them Friday so I got the box modded Friday night and we played a bunch of system link games (Halo, Brute Force, Midnight Club 2, Midtown Madness 3) and it was tons of fun. siniik
woohoo I got my moded xbox working. I got the mod chip earlier in the month but had trouble with the old thompson dvd drive so i went out and got a new samsung drive and it works great! It reads everything. I also installed a 120 gig hard drive. :D I have to say if it wasn't for the old thompson drive the whole installation and setup would have run alot smoother.. but oh well. cerbero
Is it possible to edit ini files directly on the xbox? A lot of FTP clients (FlashFXP for example) have an Edit function, which basically downloads the file to a temporary directory, opens it in Notepad and then automatically uploads the changed copy of the file when you save it in Notepad. LiGhTfast
otherwise evox is still king. i got bored of evox a long time ago, its just way to basic its like dos(evox) vs windows(mxm) :) i like a lot of eyecandy so im using MXM instead of XBMP atm (american tv season has finished nothing to watch)
BroChaos Veteran Posted June 30, 2003 Veteran Share Posted June 30, 2003 hmm, i've never used mxm before, i think i'll go have a look :)

Dazzla Veteran Posted July 4, 2003 Author Veteran Share Posted July 4, 2003 Hopefully someone can answer this. My Xbox turning off is getting worse so I opened it up to have a look. Under the hard drive, on the mobo there's only what I can describe as a cross between chewing gum and ######, but it's solid. Under the little bridge thing with "Foxlink" on it it's all over the capacitors (?) and spring things. Is that right? Actually, as I was typing this post I turned it on and it started first time. Again and again and again. Is it possible something is pressing against something? Edit, well, the small screw next to the hard drive which holds the black frame tight down was quite loose when I undone it. I've just tightened it with a electrix screwdriver and it's tight as hell now, the XBox is starting first time all the time. Here's hoping... RaQ
Where can I buy an pre-modded xbox and it is my understanding i can plug in an ethernet cable from my hub and FTP to the XBOX correct? I am so confused, Dazzla I pmed you please talk to me on MSN i get really tempered when everything gets chaotic in my mind ahh. I want to basiclly get an XBOX already modded to where I plug it in and go like Dazzla said. Under $300 if possible. So confusing! :x
