neoadorable
i don't think you can move saves between different gamertags, that's considered cheating. if it's a different GT, you can't have it i'm afraid, but don't take my word for it, kinda hazy right now. burp. That's what I assumed so I might just move my save from his 360 to mine and just play it locally if it allows me too. If not, well I guess I'll have to head over to his place more to finish it! If you were to move your save from the local account to yours and play Dirt 2 you may accidentally unlock some out-of-order achievements. That's where the cheating may come into play, and if MS sees this your account could possibly get reset (all gamerscore to 0). Basically either play it on the local account or start from scratch on your XBL account.
scokem
I don't believe it'd work even though both tags have the same name because obviously they're not the same account (I guess MS would've thought of that when they designed the system and made some sort of checks take place). You could always try it though, but as vette said - be wary if it does in case it flags you as cheating. Get yourself a memory card, whack it in your friend's console, sign in and transfer the Dirt save (you have to be signed in as the user who owns the save), then sign out and transfer the gamertag too (you have to be signed out for that). Put the card in your own 360 and sign in as your main profile and try running the save. If it doesn't work then sign out and back in as the account on the memory card. At least that way you can play it on your own console and not have to trek over the campus! Apologies if the instructions are a bit patronising - I don't mean them to be it's just I don't know how much experience you have with transferring data around consoles. I know it's a ball-ache as I'm always doing it when I take my profile and saves to my brother's and my girlfriend's. Oh and lastly, this is assuming Dirt lets you transfer save data from one device to another - some games don't like SFIV in which case you'll have to finish it on his console or start fresh on yours :/

It is always really handy to have one for when you don't want to recover it while playing at a friend's house.

Qumahlin
If all your trying to do is play your saved game at your place then you don't need to do anything out of the ordinary unless the issue is that your real gamertag on your xbox is the same as the local gamertag your created on his xbox. I don't know if your system is going to like that but all you need to do is this: 1. Get memory card 2. Transfer gamertag and save game from your friends 360 to memory card 3. Load memory card on your 360 and sign in with the gamertag on the memory card. If your 360 complains about the names being the same, then personally I would just remove the harddrive so that the only gamertag the system sees is on the memory card and you can just play the game and keep your saves there. On a side note to everyone else. Yes, there is a way to steal achievements from friends save games using a memory card and their gamertag. Yes people have gotten banned for it, but plenty of others haven't.

Qumahlin
I don't want to get banned so I don't know what I'll do. You won't get banned, whoever told you that is 100% wrong. Unless your trying to do the achievement steal trick you have 0% chance of getting banned.
