Ran Sagy
Reviews mean nothing to me. Really bad games get really good reviews from certain sites, so i care not. I care about what i play and what my judgement is. Saying a game is entirely bad and another is entirely good without reasoning is pretty pointless. If you care to elaborate WHY you think FIFA is better (and remember i play only on the PC so your PS3 experience might be nice, but its irrelevant to me) THEN we would have a discussion. Right now? You're just trolling.

Ball control Better AI Better keeper Better animation 360 degree control Intelligent referee Excellent graphics No stupid thumping sounds whenever you pass the ball The obvious: licensing - although not essential, when you add it on top of everything else it like the icing on the cake Superior online Be A Pro is better than Be A Legend Set piece creator Realistic speed Manager Mode ...and I'm sure there are more that I can't think of from the top of my head And though the PS3 may not be relevant to you, it is to the majority of people of these boards who play FIFA/PES on PS3 or Xbox 360, where the games receive far more development time. Whilst review scores may not mean anything, have you tried reading any of the FIFA ones so far? Go on...give it a go ;) Perhaps read FIFA 09's reviews vs PES 2009's. Edit: anyway...I'm not going to try to convert anyone. there are bound to be people who will stick to their preferred series no matter what. but of all my friends who enjoy playing footy games, very few still play PES. Ran Sagy
Well, That's silly really. You just take every element and say FIFA IS BETTER. Easy enough to say its better, but why? But i guess thats a moot point. 360 degree control is also in PES 2010. You might claim FIFA's implementation is better, thats fine, But its not an exclusive feature. Master League is still way more interesting than any season of Manager Mode i've tried. Mixing teams from random leagues, Creating custom teams and the way trades are made between clubs from different leagues as well as (now) the integration with the UEFA CL and EL competitions. FIFA has a better animation engine, indeed. Licenses? PES has exclusive Champions League, Europa League, Ligue 1 and Serie A licenses, As well as most of the Liga BBVA teams. Yes, It does lack most of the EPL licenses and the Bundesliga. How can you even compare online modes when the games aren't released and there aren't any servers? Same for new features like Set Piece Creator.. Like you say, It's a matter of opinion. Each to his own. To me, You really sound like a fanboy yourself. Saying that you played the PS2 PES doesn't mean you have credibility as a balanced player choosing a game by his qualities. In the end of the day, We all play whatever we feel is more entertaining to us. And to me, PES is much more of a football game than FIFA ever was, As a complete package. I can find you enough FIFA players that say that playing 2010 is already boring as they score exactly in the same ways and all the games feel familiar. Bhav
Fair enough, each to his own. And ditto on the fanboy comment ;)
red.
I was playing the PES demo on the 360 yesterday and the ball weight just seems completely random. Sometimes the ball seems really heavy and then when you get a goal kick it hangs in the air for an unrealistically long time. And the 360 dribbling implementation doesn't really feel like it's 360. Still seems like the old 8 way movement. There's not that much of a difference compared to last year's FIFA and this year's.
Ran Sagy
That last line confused me a bit - Are you talking about PES or FIFA? and which version?
red.
Yeah sorry i mean there's not much of a difference with the 360 control on PES between 09 and 10 unlike on FIFA where the difference is obvious. PES still felt like the normal 8 direction movement.
Ran Sagy
Well, I think they already said something on that, Something about hardware limitations or so, But i really have no idea.

Ah that explains it...PES must be using different hardware to FIFA!
Ran Sagy
Never said it makes sense, Just that its what i remember. Might not even be an official response. And after all, It's down to design and the engines for each game. I've no idea if FIFA acts exactly the same on each system, either.
