Sega accidentally leaks minutes of meeting with SCEA

Recommended Posts

I want my GTA Vice City, my Metal Gear Solid 2, my Metal Gear Solid 3, my Kingdom Hearts, my Kingdom Hearts 2, my Final Fantasy XII (meh, maybe FFX too), my Devil May Cry all on the PS3.

Now!!!

Same.

I've looked through SEGA's FTP thing, and it looks like all the good stuff has been taken down.

Except the Dreamcast version of Shenmue 2 is the one to play since the Xbox one has English voice acting even worse than Star Ocean 4 :p

Personal opinion. Some people don't care about voice acting at all. But it's not like it couldn't be added in as DLC for any platform in the future anyway.

Fixed :p

English voice acting on Shenmue 2 was terrible. Japanese with subs all the way!

*Thinks about DC titles*

SF3:Third Strike & Alpha 3 (add online, ???, profit!)

Shenmue 1 & 2

Power Stone 2

Sonic Adventure (although you can get #1 on PC for bugger all and it'll run so much better)

Already available for Gamecube and PSP

Looks like this could mean that BC could be coming back soon. :D

Also, I am very sure that this will be announced during TGS. :D

Uh oh... This isn't good for Sega at all. They already have things hard enough... I hope they don't get in too much trouble about this. I still have fond memories of what Sega once was and hope one day to see the company return to (at least) its former software glory...

I don't see why Sega don't try the whole console thing again, they could even make BC with it's dreamcast games and more.

Because it'll be ridiculously hard to compete. The market is pretty full, there's no real opening for someone like Sega right now.

Like Teej said, it is not going to happen anytime soon! The handheld is already dominated by the PSP and DS so thats hard too.

I am just hoping that if Sony does bring BC back, they will allow for disc playback also! But I don't think they will. They said they dropped BC because of costs and obviously bringing it back with th ability to just play PS2 games from the PSN would cover that I guess.

I'm also thinking iPhone, which is a fairly powerful force in the mobile gaming market as well.

Anyway, I think they'll eventually bring back disc playback. I just don't think it'll be this year, I honestly think they'll wait until the PS3 Slim makes a profit, or they'll add a small charge for PS2 emulation (which is fair enough really, I mean it'll cost you ?100 to buy a new PS2, or nearly ?1000 to get a rig which will decently run PCSX2). Plus, very few games are being made for it now.

  • 4 months later...
Vanquish and Aliens: CM

Opportunity for PS3/PSP interoperability (see Eidos Batman, Army of Two, Assassin’s Creed for good examples).

If we offer that SCEA would be really interested in having us at their booth next E3.

Now we know something more about this game, for example, its director is Shinji Mikami, creator of Resident Evil, Dino Crysis and God Hand

Although we still don't know If they've really gone for the PS3/PSP interoperability, and if its port to PS3 is going to be well-made unlike Bayonetta's, the only Platinum's game for the console.
