Medking
Hi there, Ok so my new Mac arrived today ! Yayaa And like anyone would want to do, I'm trying to transfer the music I have on my old laptop (Windows) to my Mac. Since I don't have an external yet, I've been using my 8GB USB to transfer junks of my Itunes Library at a time. However, after I've transferred everything, the iTunes on my Mac is reporting 3,300 songs, whereas the iTunes on my PC is reporting 3,900 songs (almost 4k) So I'm wondering, does anyone know why this difference is? Or what it could be? Because as far as I can see I've transferred everything from one to the other, just for some reason some songs have not copied... Any clues? Hendrick
Make sure you got everything out of My Music/iTunes/iTunes Music (or something like that). If iTunes moved a few songs, they'll end up in the iTunes folder. I lost a few like that when I made a similar move to my new MacBook Pro this summer. d3bruts1d
Make sure your iTunes library was consolidated on your old system. Otherwise, it will report music that has been added that may reside outside of the iTunes location.
