SYBINX
Well I thought I would try out some games I have to see what works and does not work with Windows 7. I have thousands of games to try and although some work and other are just plain sh** because they either run and then crash and fall to the ground and burn like CRYSIS which runs like a dream on Windows Vista but na da on Windows 7. So I thought I would have a look at Fallout 3 and see if there was any improvements over Vista. OMG I was stunned of the clarity and clearness of Windows 7 with Fallout 3 was amazing. I think I started a topic about the performance of Fallout 3 a couple of months ago or even last year of how jagged the game was with settings set to Ultra. Well come pared with Windows 7 it's a vast improvement over Vista. both cards are DX10.1 and all the hardware is the same with Vista as with Seven. No changes to hardware at all, although the game runs smoother, it runs faster, clarity and smoothness is just outstanding. Although I have read that some people cannot even get this to run. I must admit there was a point at the start of the game that the screen went a little co** eyed, applied all the patches and then run it again and it was fine. All I can say is it works and it looks a lot better than on Vista?
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted September 23, 2009 Veteran Share Posted September 23, 2009 Runs exactly the same for me, it won't look better as it's a DX9 game and DX11 isn't magic. Are you sure it's not just because it's a clean install of Windows?

Guest xiphi
Crysis runs just as good on 7 as it has on Vista for me.
SYBINX
Crysis runs just as good on 7 as it has on Vista for me. Going off the subject slightly, between the end of 2007 and Q2 of 2008 there was reported to be a batch of CRYSIS that was shipped out ot the UK that was buggy and would either not install all would install and then the game would crash al the time. I think I may have bought one of these because when you first put the DVD in the reader will not recognise the DVD for 10 seconds and then starts to kick into life. Therefore I think I might have a dodgy one. I'll get another one and try it again.
