morganpugh84
I want to pick this game up tonight but wanted to check if there is any major reason (other than personal preference) to get it on a specific console? I am guessing the games are near identical on both platforms but thought I would ask before :) So does it matter? Is one console nicer looking than the other (I have found the 360 tends to look a little more polished than PS3 versions of the same game but that may just be that I prefer slightly more vivid colours which the 360 seems to do, might just be my eyes though :p) Thanks in advance all dm
red.
I know you get some Joker DLC on the PS3 version.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted September 25, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted September 25, 2009 Where do you live? North America both pieces of DLC are exclusive to the PS3. Pile of ass, but it is what it is. Single player game, any technical differences are minor, so the choice is yours. I'd probably just say whatever you can find for the cheapest, unless you care about the DLC.

The fanboiflame website LensofTruth said the PS3 version is ever so slightly better looking, but it's minute. DLC is not a game-changer, and there's no online to speak of aside from leaderboards. SimplySchizo
theyre identical. easy choice would be the ps3 version for added content. no reason what-so-ever to get it for the 360.

I never stated the 360 didn't have dlc. Simply that the ps3 version contains MORE. Making it the easier choice between the two. god i hate when...
Argi
Most DLC is fail anyway - basically stuff omitted from the game to use or bargain with later - don't support it.
Unrealistic
I would say PS3 if you want the complete experience (including all extra DLC). Most of the content from the limited edition is also found on the Blu-Ray of the regular PS3 edition.
Ricardo Gil
no reason what-so-ever to get it for the 360. Apart from a proper controller?

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted September 25, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted September 25, 2009  Take my advice, whatever you can buy for the cheapest and go get yourself a few pints with the change. Absolutely awesome game, single player experience is identical on both consoles, from that point of view it doesn't matter what console you get it on, you'll have a great experience. DLC is just additions to the challenge maps, it's not game changing. If you can get the PS3 version cheaper then there's your bonus, you get the exclusive DLC as well. If they both cost you the same whatever console YOU would rather play on unless you care about the DLC. It really doesn't matter what other people want to play it on, it's your money you're handing over. Buyers remorse is all you need to care about :p Although as I said above in this instance you won't have any either way, single player experience is awesome. I got the game for ?23 on the PS3, if it were ?23 on the 360 I wouldn't of cared about that DLC, I'm a cheap-ass always looking to save a few quid, so price 95% of the time is my priority. Even if it pains me to lose out on DLC... then I just come online and bitch about that part though which makes me feel bette:p:p

shakey
I got it for the PC and it is great. Better resolution and they have even released 2 DLC extra challenge maps. Looks like they might support this a bit on the pc :) Though I fail to see how people are getting into the millions on these fight challenge maps. I guess I suck at the button timing lol. Only opinion i stated was the one in which the OP requested upon, They are identical on all ends. Regardless on what peoples feelings are on exclusivity. The easier or better choice would point towards the ps3 version simply because more, is better. If you can prove me wrong on anything I've said, please do. Else, stop instigating. rajputwarrior
 that's why i hate the gamers hangout so much.... well done audio. I got the game on 360 and loved it. But if you have a ps3 you could go for that because you can be the joker and that would be kinda cool. But I agree with audio, whatever you can get cheaper get that one. SimplySchizo
if price were an issue, i would think he wouldn't need to come in here and ask. if a specific controller were an issue, then i'm sure he would knock which not to get. considering the bare game is damn close to being completely identical, the logical, unbiased choice would have to go towards the ps3 copy. for reasons already known. sucks you xbox'ers are left out in the cold on certain additional content. hey, that's business. it is what it is. no need to come in here and say he should get it for the xbox because you yourself enjoy the controller or xlive or the color white :D. put them all on a scale and the ps3 outweighs them all. as said above... I would say PS3 if you want the complete experience (including all extra DLC)That pretty much sums up the decision.but hey, if you dont care for extra content, then as AB stated, its only about where to get it cheaper. the single player aspect remains identical on all copies. When you say "no reason what-so-ever to get it for the 360." it's obvious you're just talking out of your ass with no real reason to back it up. I gave you the controller example and you just dismissed it... sucks you xbox'ers are left out in the cold on certain additional content. hey, that's business. it is what it is.no need to come in here and say he should get it for the xbox because you yourself enjoy the controller or xlive or the color white :D. put them all on a scale and the ps3 outweighs them all. as said above...
