FIFA 10 looking hot as reviews go for top scores

Recommended Posts

I was a die hard PES fan, but I left the game on the last PS2 version becuase the next gen was soo poor.

I then tried out FIFA 09, while i have always disliked FIFA games (not including the very 1st that came out on the mega drive and then the world cup version of 98) 09 played so well and had fetures on it that I always wanted.

It gave for a more indept playing experiance, and by me tweeking my tactics It would change wether I won or lost a game.

I was not that impressed with its Bec a pro mode, i think it needed to be more indept like PES, but I got where they where coming from and what they wanted to give the audience.

A game that most could pick up and play, but the hard core gamers could have hours of fun on it.

And with the 10 v 10 they cracked it, the fun I had playing 10v10 and the jokes i got from watching people playing as a defender and then joining in the attack made 09 football game of the year.

I borrowed PES9 just to see what it was like, I was so disapointed, the only think that I like was the become a legend mode.

Other than that, the game play was old and out dated, the sound of the ball being kick sounded hollow and ugly and every person run like Usain bolt.

At that point I realise that for the last 2 next gen versions they did not care ( I had been playing the PS2 version all this time as it was better).

Its a shame as I have followed PES when it was infact Winning eleven and then ISS (UK version)

Form Super Snes, N64, Playstation.

Will konami ever come back from this?

The current version does not look like it has made any changes, i dl the demo and while its not the full version it did not have anything different on it.

It sill played the same they tried to make the tactics like fifa and tbh its not worked.

Shame really

Isn't it supposed to come out on Oct 2nd? or did I miss the date?!! :omg:

(Just checked GS) Yeah.. release date is Oct 2nd.. How are they reviewing it before it even came out? From demo alone or is there more to this.. did these ppl get to play the full version before the buying public?

I really liked PES in the past but the demo was disappointing.. I decided to give it another chance still yesterday.. but it almost bored the love of football out of me.. FIFA is the one ill buy the day it comes out.. PES.. ill wait for a month to see how ppl think it is.. they still have time to improve on this demo..

I love the game, it's like a religion but the manager mode is pathetic.

They have made several significant changes to that mode this time around from what I hear.. you'll like it ;)

See this for details..

Well, I'd only say that we oughta not mention PES before this thread becomes a flametrain for fanboys, like any other PES/FIFA thread on the internet so far :p

True

Shame though, they both are great games in there own right, PES was the game of the 90s int to the 20 and not Fifa is starting to show signs that it is going to be the game of the 20s.

Think how long PES (Perfect Eleven) had been out, since 1994 (thats when i got the jap version for my SNES copier).

Thats a bloody long time to gain a following.

I think Fifa will now have a similar lenght fan base becuase a lot of PES fans have switched over.

Most reviews come from them getting the game before hand.

So they have the finished product to review.

Release Date indicates the game actually being in stores. Since you have to take care of producing the boxes, copies, etc it means you need to finish the game quite a bit before that, hence all the review sites already having a final version of the games.

I'm getting my grubby paws on it on the 1st :)

My expectation is that I have to lower the volume of my stereo system again because the kids will be shouting their microphones off after I score the winner 90+4 after tackling their lowest defender who was trying to stall for time. Ah, good times :)
