Gerowen
Do you keep custom maps after the game downloads them for play? I played a couple last night that I really liked, one called toontown, the tank became a hammer car, the raptors became helicopters that shot bubbles and all kinds of weird cooky stuff. Here's a screenshot of another one I played on from the same guy. Screenshot

PricklyPoo
Maps / content downloaded while in game are saved to your cache, I'm pretty sure you can't play them offline. You will have to download the maps, etc from a website and drag them over to your actual map folder, texture folder, etc. Kind of a stupid system, never understood why it was like that. There's an app made by someone called ut2004mi that lets you take anything in your cache folder, whether it be a map, a mutator, or anything else, and quickly install it from your cache. After you select the item and it does its thing it's ready to play whenever you want. I've used it quite a bit over the years since ut2004's release myself, it's been a must have app if you play or played this game.
