fdiaz2day
Robin Williams' plan...(Hard to argue with this logic!) I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan: 1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. We will promise never to "interfere" again. 2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the fence. 3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them. 4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 day visits unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers. 5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home, baby. 6) The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while. 7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. 8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides, most of what we give them gets "lost" or is taken by their army. The people who need it most get very little, anyway. 9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, it would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens. 9b) Use the buildings as replacement for the twin towers. 10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. Now, ain't that a winner of a plan. "The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'You want a piece of me?'" - Robin Williams> :woot:

Samoa
I actually like that plan. It makes a lot of sense. We should help only our true allies. Not the weak, sweaty handed ones like France or Germany (let's not forget Canada). We should stay out of other countries namely S.Korea, Germany, and Vietnam. We should concentrate on the illegals in our country. IF the world wants peace, they should come to the US for solidarity, not UN bargining. The US should mind it's own business. Yep WWII would have been a lot different. Well if Japan hadn't bombed us that is. the european block would not exist. Nor would much of the Arab world either. China would be the great vaction restort of Japan. We then wouldn't be dealing with N.Korea today. Only thing would be that we would face two superpowers other than ourselves. If you want to see my weakness I?m waiting you to kick your ass when you want ! I know... in Neowins there are rules against this kind of intervention but I cannot you let say that ! Etc.
Without France the United States would not exist. How soon you seem to forget that... And what about drilling millions of years of preserved wildlife just so you can get cheaper gas makes sense? Please tell me, I'd really like to know. Oh, and just like that urban legend link states, Williams is a liberal; something the idiot who circulated this email didn't seem to understand. zhangm Supervisor Posted June 5, 2003 Supervisor Share Posted June 5, 2003 Not really funny. Kinda sad, in fact, to see people becoming so xenophobic, arrogant, and disrespectful. You think all Americans are dim witted, ugly, and slow? Some are. Others are not, and those who are, are not directly responsible for it. Who's fault is it then, that Americans have gained the image of being so intolerant and racist? Partially, it is the fault of other world governments and medias, spewing all sorts of subtle propaganda in an attempt to provoke nationalism and pride. Why? To enhance their own national economy, unity, and moral. And what easier way to accomplish that end than to target another country, and direct people to see how superior they are? Partially, it is because of the pressures of society, and media. The same propaganda techniques in effect all over the world are also being used in the US to spur on nationalistic spirits (called patriotism here). Overall, this blanket of subtle prodding has pushed the nations of the world apart. Then again, there are internal pressures inherent in all civilizations that have existed, and will exist in the future. Every single day, a person is under the influence of their surroundings, and being in America, the average American is under the influence of his or her society. From the moment of birth, each and every person is indelibly stamped with the opinions and ideals of the culture in which they exist in. This conditioning lasts for their entire lifetime, and within a comparitively short frame of time, the individual has become completely assimilated into the surrounding environment. Naturally possessing a fear of the unknown, the individual will be more likely to defend his or her homeland when it is endangered. How are Americans conditioned to become the way they are? Simple. Every minute of every hour of every day in their life, they are surrounded by information and communication. The vast majority of it carries a simple message. America is superior. Where did this attitude originate? Back to the fathers of the fathers, down to the first leaders of The United States of America, back to George Washington, back to Columbus and the kings and queens presiding over Europe. Back through the Middle Ages, back through the pride of Alexander the Great, Julias Caeser, the Pharos of Egypt. It has been in existence ever since the first human experienced the emotion called Pride. Of course, as any educated and intelligent person knows by now, Americans are not the only people who are affected by this conditioning. Every culture on the face of the earth secretly pressures its people to believe that they are superior, in some way, to all other societies existing concurrently. This presiding attitude has brought about a great many wars throughout history, and the same mistake is inevitably repeated by every government which succeeds the previous one. Are people becoming more xenophobic? No, they are not, for the term xenophobic refers to an extreme fear or hatred directed at another race. In dealing with humanity, the correct notion is that humanity as a whole is one single race. It is true, in a sense, that the United States has not yet reached puberty when compared to the ages of most established cultures in the world. Is it fair then, to lay judgement on it? And where has the United States learned all its tactics, its mannerisms from? Do these strategies and tactics just appear out of thin air, or have other countries around the world set a bad example? Now lies the truth in the matter, which is that people around the world should help each other more than they hurt each other. If they do not, or are not capable of setting aside their differences (only a matter of geographic location), then are humans really the apex of animal development, and should they be entrusted with dominating the world? tscallions
Good lord. I could have sworn that this was a damn joke. Seems as if you can't post a joke without someone responding with a "novel" that goes on and on and in the end has absolutly nothing to do with the joke that was originaly posted. Dude, we get the fact that you have lived your life thus far with a freakin' thesaurus in your hand. But if you plan to show off the fact that your girlfriend is the english language, please post in the debate forum. Good lord.
