bangbang023 Veteran Posted September 30, 2009 Veteran Share Posted September 30, 2009 I have been having a problem for a long time and since I just got back into this game, I'm hoping someone can help me out. For some reason, during multiplayer, I don't hear any CPU voices. I don't hear airstrikes or the like being called out or even the obligatory yells as time's running out. Nothing, just the sound of gun fire and of course any human voices via voice chat. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone have a solution for it? It's driving me nuts. It used to work fine and things still work fine, in this regard, in WaW.
Sethos
Could be your 360 laser slowly dying and failing to read the sound files. Had the same happen in various other games with my Elite, usually works by cleaning the disc and installing it to the HDD.
bangbang023 Veteran Posted September 30, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted September 30, 2009 It's a rather new 360 and isn't the only system it's happened on. I read somewhere it could be scratches on the disc, but the disc is in very good condition, albeit, with a few minor surface scratches.
Sethos
That does sound weird but try installing it to the HDD in case you haven't, see what happens?
bangbang023 Veteran Posted September 30, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted September 30, 2009 I really can't. I only have a 20gb HDD and a 6.5GB install is a bit much.
Sethos
Try and clear the cache ( http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/11131/Xbox-3...-Code-Revealed/ ) perhaps the CoD 4 cache is corrupted and just needs to create a new one, else I'm out of ideas. Guyro
check your game audio settings (from the start menu) and see if the commentator (wont be called that i dont think) voice is turned down
neoadorable
did you check the IW site? Or Activision support? That problem sounds kind of esoteric but you never know. Did it start after an update by any chance? Sounds like a minor issue but it's not the same game without tango down let's do this marines and iznayo magazin!
