neomuaythai
so i've been playing the uncharted demo since last night on and off. really liking the preview of what's to come, the athleticism of the characters and using it while running away from gun fire is really intense. apparently, on oct 5 and 6 you can play uncharted 2 in a friggin movie theater (something i have longed for since I was 5 lol). locations are in LA, San Fran, Chicago, and Seattle (no east coast love). Luckily for me I live in LA and will definitely be checking it out on the 6th. i found this info at unchartedthegame.com HD and surround sound in a movie theater will seriously rule. im psyched. Yusuf M. Veteran Posted October 1, 2009 Veteran Share Posted October 1, 2009 That's pretty cool. I recently saw an ad in a theatre for "video game nights" where you can hook up a gaming console (PS3/X360/Wii) to the movie theatre and play with your friends. Imagine playing a competitive multiplayer game like Halo 3 or Killzone 2 on the big screen. Now that would be amazing.
DClark
You can rent a theatre to play 360 games at Galaxy Cinemas locations (Canada). I should note that HD in a theatre is nothing too spetacular considering that 35mm has a greater resolution than HD. I don't know what size of a screen would maximize the benefit of 1080p resolution, but I am sure it would be smaller than a theatre screen. neomuaythai
so i just played about 30 minutes worth of single player mode at my friend's place. he got the damn game for free last night at the uncharted 2 cinema event in LA. they gave one out to everyone who was there. i hope i can get a copy tonight when i go. Initial Reactions: - Transitions between gameplay and cut scenes are seemless, and be ready cuz there are alot of cut scenes. - Graphics are unreal. i thought when i first saw Killzone 2 i was amazed, but this is even better. - Really does feel like you are watching a movie. - Stealth tactics are really fun and some of the sneak attacks are pretty sick. some people are already selling the complimentary gifts from the cinema event on Ebay lol. http://bit.ly/UELb1 http://bit.ly/3PTp8U

I think it's a pretty good deal. Just sneak in your own snacks lol.
