[UK] Fifa 2010 Price War

Recommended Posts

Anybody else loving the competition between Asda and Tesco lately???

Same thing happened with the latest Dan Brown book -- ?14.99 to ?5.

Prices have been going down last 24 hours.

Latest I can find are Asda: ?25, and Tesco: ?24.97. Also Gamestation / Game are price matching I believe.

I'm thinking about buying it over Tesco at midnight and doing some shopping too, as then I can sleep tomorrow morn:Dg :D .

I normally don't buy games, but ?25 is the right price to get me buying.

Hopefully we will see the same when MW2 is released.

what platform is the ?25 for? the pc? cheapest iv seen for consoles is ?35 from shopto.net

PS3 and Xbox 360.

It's going to be that price for a couple of days. Asda only 24 hours I think.

If they gave it away free I would still not touch it, hate the game with a passion :(

I dont mind footy games, I just hate Fifa :)

Fifa has improved so much though, better than PES now. This is actually the first one I've bought brand new for 6 years.

Well worth the money so far.

Only a 10-15 people queue at my local Tesco Extra at 12:30ish :D The person in front of me actually bought 6 copies.

Apparently hundreds of people have been queueing at some Asdas though :pinch:

I can confirm that my local GAME (Taunton) do NOT price match Supermarkets! As I asked them yesterday, I ended up going to Asda and paid ?26.71 at midnight.

I got there at 11.30 and there was already 10 people in the queue. By midnight there was at least 60-70 people and I can assure you there were some people whow ent away empty handed!

I didn't bother with my local Tesco's as they only sell Wii & DS Games! On my way out from Asda I saw a mate who went to Tesco's and they said they didn't have FIFA 10 on PS3 or Xbox so I'm glad I went to Asda for the sake of ?1.50!

It's odd, I've started buying games from Tesco-Extra here locally. They are just cheap for games. Cheaper than most places quite often.

They sell most games when they are released and they are for every platform. The best thing is, it's just a 10 minute walk away :p

I ordered this on Play, can I get a refund :(?

Don't open the seal and return as a duplicated gift for someone ?

You can definitely return it as long as it's unopened. You don't need a reason - just say you don't want it anymore. You may have to pay postage, but it should only be ?1.50ish.

I'd ask them to refund the difference. See if they step up against the supermarkets  .

They may feel if they don't, then they have lost another customer for new games.

Also Amazon have reduced the price to ?24.97, everybody who pre-ordered with them should automatically get refunded as the price changed on release day.

I think that's their policy?
