Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted October 3, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted October 3, 2009 I just got back from seeing Zombieland in theaters and I must say this was a very very funny movie! Woody Harrelson plays an excellent role in this movie, which makes it worth seeing. The story behind the movie is everybody in the world is dead, with the exception of a few survivors. The remaining survivors are off to find a safe haven from the killer zombies. The group of people are headed to a theme park, said to be zombie free, finding various adventures along the way, stopping at stores for supplies and twinkies - Woody's favourite snack - before each of them are turned into zombies themselves. I fairly enjoyed the movie, as did the audience. I wasn't expecting the movie to be a comedy, but that is what it basically is, aside from the killer zombies. I definitely recommend going to see this film, very funny movie! 9/10 (Y)(Y) IMDB
LOC Veteran Posted October 3, 2009 Veteran Share Posted October 3, 2009 Yeah a couple of the Spill.com guys said Zombieland was actually their favorite movie so far this year. I can't wait to see it.

Xtreme2damax
As soon as I saw the previews for this movie it was automatically put on my must watch list. At least my thoughts were confirmed that this wasn't going to be a total stinker like most movies are today. :D
NienorGT
5/5! This movie was AWESOME! One of the first time, if not the first, that I see the public applauding at the end of a movie... O_O Shaun of the Dead was good, but ZombieLand beat it ten time.

Konstanov
Local joke, but It may look like Zombies took over Garland, but that's just Garland. Had me rolling, it truly is a bombed out ****hole.
Hurmoth
I was actually a little disappointed in the film. It was still good, but nowhere near as funny as I had thought it was going to be. It had hilarious moments though. 3 out of
R-Flex
One of the first time, if not the first, that I see the public applauding at the end of a movie... O_O Perhaps it may simply be my community, but clapping at the end of movies in the theatre seems to occur with shocking regularity for the films that I see. I would estimate it at likely every three or four that a significant proportion choose to clap. Not that I agree; most do not deserve such praise. Back on the current movie, however, I was pleasantly surprised. Easily, I would rate it with four out of five stars, and recommend it as a candidate for best movie of the year. So far, I believe that it would be my favourite this year.
Alladaskill17
Glad to see all these good reviews, and hearing some friends talk about it quite highly as well. I am going to see it soon mainly because of the good reviews and because parts of the movie were shot here, near my university, and some of played soccer with Woody. NoLiMiT06
This movie was shot where I used to live so it will be cool to see some of the locations of the area since I have not lived there in almost 8 years :D
TGT
Everybody laughed and clapped in the theater when that happened  Ahaha, same thing here! My friends and I didn't think much of this movie from the trailers, but as it turned out - this movie was funny and fun. (Also, we couldn't help but think how awesome some of these scenes would have made as L4D campaigns/levels) Edited October 4, 2009 by TGT

Ayepecks
This was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time... maybe ever, to be honest. And it's not like "Superbad" funny where you'd only want to watch it with friends, but it's a good (somewhat adult) family comedy. Great acting, great comedy, great effects... got it all. The Bill Murray cameo was the best cameo, ever. No contest in my mind. 4.5/
Master1
OMG THIS MOVIE WAS AWESOME . I saw it last night, I couldnt stop laughing the whole time, I give this movie a 95% approval rating. I'm lookin forward to seeing this movie though, previews look pretty good, and Woody is a great actor.
