Problem with battery pack?

Recommended Posts

For some reason I think my battery pack has finally gave in and broken. The only way I can use my pad at the moment is if its plugged into the xbox via my 'plug and play' kit. The battery doesnt stay charged long enough for me to get into a game without it dying, and even when its plugged in, the charging light is green, which is supposed to indicate a fully charged pad.

Is this just a case of a dead battery pack or is it something worse?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Just call MS... tell them the same problem... when they ask you the purchase date, suggest something under 1 year. They had no problem sending me a replacement after mine did the same thing after about 6 months.

A fix you may find that works is to plug the charger in so it goes red then replug after it goes green. Give it a few goes, it took me 18 successive plugs/unplugs on my white battery pack before it started charging properly after not using it for too long. Obviously if you get to about 50 tries it may be actually knackered :p
