Sethos
According to a LinkedIn CV from a former EA employee, the new Medal of Honor game that was mentioned by EA CEO John Riccitello a while back will be set in modern times. The CV of Micah Lapping-Carr, who was a production intern at the developer in a 3 month spell between June 2008 and August 2008, states that it?s a ?modern combat? game under the MoH moni?Electronic Arts Los Angeles (Computer Software industry) June 2008 ? lunamonkey
Wow, that's some source. However, I like MoH and fancy a bit of "modern warfare"...... :p

jelli
Wasn't the last ****ing awful? Their glory days are long past :p I remember them on the PS1 and that's where I like to remember the series, everything past then wasn't really worth mentioning. EDIT I stand corrected, MoH:AA was very good, assaulting the beach was just amazing. Other than that though I stand by my original statement :p Edited October 5, 2009 by jelli
x-byte
Airborne? No that was actually not that bad. Didn't quite feel like Medal of Honor though, personally.
Richard Hammond
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was the best WW2 shooter back in the day i used to play the crap out of that game. They should get that team back together to make a modern setteing game.
Ji@nBing
Meh. It's not going to be able to compete with Modern Warfare. Why bother? May as well just keep it in WW2. I'm sure they could at least do a better WW2 shooter than Treyarch.
Si_
Allied Assult is always one of my favourite FPS games. Played it to absolute death. Didn't the team that made that go on to form Infinity Ward....?

lunamonkey
My overly precise scores: Airbourne is pretty good: 75%. Allied Assault (at release) : 85% Call of Duty 2: 84% Call of Duty 4: 89% World at war: 81% I'm not expecting a new MoH to be as good as Call of Duty 4. For starters they should have made a modern game 2 years ago instead of airbourne. They could have easily made airbourne a modern espionage game. coresx
Doesn't matter when it's set. MOH died when everyone left to form Infinity Ward, while some remained at 2015. They will never overcome the best at the genre at the same game.
Massiveterra
EA should just stick with Battlefield as their primary FPS
jerzdawg
MoH:AA was such a great PC game at release...but yes.. the sun has set on the MoH series. Airborne was horrible, but it certainly was a disappointment for me.

I'm sure they could at least do a better WW2 shooter than Treyarch. That's just ridiculous. So every developer who isn't the "top developer" in their genre should just say "Why bother?" and not create games to compete with the top-tier ones? I think it's very possible for them to compete with Modern Warfare. Why would they want to compete with WW2 FPS games and not modern ones? I'm lost on your logic on that. Treyarch did a copy-and-paste of Modern Warfare, so I don't see how it would be any different. Modern Warfare is a great game, and IW's a great developer. But I don't see how a developer can't create a better modern war FPS than them. It's not "oh no, no one should even bother competing with them" uh-maze-eng. You can already see certain franchises that have no competition just release a game every year with some polishing and a gimmick new feature (Madden series for example)

I'm sure they could at least do a better WW2 shooter than Treyarch. Call of Duty 3 was seriously not that bad of a game. I don't know why everyone pans it all the time. I rather enjoyed the SP portion of it, and especially the MP. Not to mention, WaW was just as good as MW1 if you ask me. Allied Assult is always one of my favourite FPS games. Played it to absolute death. Didn't the team that made that go on to form Infinity Ward....? Yes most of them went on to make up Infinity Ward. And AA was just plain awesome. I STILL play it these days. I love finding those servers where you can shoot super fast and have tons of ammo (unlimited I suppose) and like grapple hooks lol it's just awesome stuff. Though I hope they improve the grenade explosion effects over AA :D
