chenks
is there any reliable adblocker for safari 4 on SL ? i've read about "safari adblock" but every download link seems to end up at a dead burgersoftware.com URL. also, i believe it only works with 32-bit mode for safari. Elliott
http://glimmerblocker.org/ It's basically just a proxy for Safari (or Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.) that will block ads. Because it doesn't actually 'plug in' to Safari, it doesn't break when you upgrade Safari.
Fusion
I'm not a big of Glimmer Blocker precisely because it runs as a proxy which just seems to screw everything up like using a real proxy, or using Little Snitch for instance. There's always been two good ones, Safari Adblock and SafariBlock. As you mentioned, Safari Adblock is stuck in 32 bit land. SafariBlock however has a 64 bit available in their Google Code forums. You need to use the latest 64 bit version of SIMBL and then install it as a SIMBL plugin. It works great ... I've been using it since it was first release with no problems.
