NoLiMiT06
Ok I am sure there have been topics like this before and hell maybe even I started one but I dont remember. Anyway I am looking for a good light weight media sharing solution between my Windows 7 machine and 360. I have tried Zune, WMP, Jamcast, TVersety and Orb. They look good yes but are to bloated and use up alot of pc resources. I am sure there is a solution out there where it still looks good has the functionality and is light weight. If you have any suggestions please share. I have also tried Windows Media Center and that thing is a joke, takes forever...... Thanks again! EDIT: Could never get Jamcast to work... drbobiii
I've used WMP, WMC, and TVersity and found them all to use relatively few resources (save the first media scan, of course). All were quite fast on a simple wired 100Mb connection. Transcoding will eat CPU, but that's universal to all media sharing programs. I think you've hit all the major ones ... if they're not good enough then probably nothing is.

medium_pimpin
I use Transcode360 with WMP. Computer and 360 are on a wireless router. Never noticed any real lagging. What sort of hardware are you trying to transcode with?
NoLiMiT06
I dont really stream alot of movies since most of them are on disc already but the ones I do are already in a format the 360 can read without transcoding. Well I will give WMP another shot on Win7 and see what happens...
