i don't know if it should be here...but anyway..everyone knows that the 811493 patch has comed out again..solving the first's one's problem..i have installed that...however it still keeps showing in my windows update..what can i do? anyone has the same problem as me?

install it again. :)

And Make sure your Date, Time and Time Zone Settings are correct to ensure that Windows Update Functions Properly.

Actually the problems not solved, new ones popped up.

MS have told me the new 811493v.2 is problematic and they are trying to resolve the issues(top priority they said). EG, fresh installed XP Pro SP1, problems loading any other drivers or patchs after installing this version and is in no relation to Antivirus software.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE} and look to see if the 811493 is installed. Note, bold text may be different on your system.

Double click on it, it will wanna connect to net and check the version number.

Check attachment, this is for the 818529 IE Update

this is funny..i installed the v2 on the windowsupdate...at least i think i had because it says there.....why does it says v1 in there...

i suggest you go install the Kernel Roll-Up Package, and be done with this ;)
