iMovie 2009: An Impressive Video Editor

Recommended Posts

As you all know, I have had my iMac for 5 days now and I am simply having a blast with it...Although I see Apple just released new iMacs!!! - Those *******! - Anyways...

Here's a little, simple video I took with my camera and edited on iMovie. The whole video was shaking like hell because it was taken inside a moving vehicle but iMovie stabilized the video and let me create this cool movie in less than 15 minutes. I only wish Windows Movie Maker could do those same things and have all those features that iMovie has, like video stabilization.

Anyways...Enjoy.

I've never played with iMovie, but I'm sure it's much better than anything Microsoft has to offer, especially Windows Live Movie Maker! Nice video.

EDIT: Also, can you not contact Apple about buying one so soon to the refresh? I'm sure they have something in place for times like that?

It's like you went idiot hunting: nice shootin'.

So many people riding around without gear or even helmets.

IMO only a ******* would let his girl on the back of his bike without giving her leathers, helmet, and gloves.

If you've only had it for 5 days return it and get a new model. You have 16 days to return an item after purchase I believe.

This may look like a troll post but lol you'll really get better transitions in PowerPoint 2010 than Windows Dead Joke Maker.

yea the 10% well still might be worth it for the amount of extra performance you will have out of the new imac with the core i7

10% restocking fee of $2,200.00 = $220.00

I don't think so.

well not sure this be a good compare. but $220 on the Pc would only by ya the Motherboard for a core i7 so in a since you be paying $220 assuming they did a complete trade with only the 220 as the Fee you be paying so if i am looking at this right you be paying for a complete core i7 system $220 and with the performance improvement you will see it be well worth that $220 in my eyes . your imovie 2009 really be speedy and it seems from what i read grand central is a very robost multi-threading API that will take great advantage of intels HT tech same way windows 7 would

If you can spend $2,200 in a computer, I don't think $220 dollars for an awesome upgrade will hurt you

You should have used Adobe Premier's stabilization and transforms, Tbhonest its a much better video suite.

iMovie comes with every Mac, therefore doesn't cost hundreds of pounds.

Yes, iMovie is much more robust and powerful than WMM but to be fair, Microsoft definitely touts WMM to be the most simple and quick way to put together a video.

So does iMovie, and it beats the crap out of WLMM.

I don't wanna derail the topic too much but when MS did the W7 launch event, they showed how fast they could make a photo-video. In less then 30 seconds, they could've published it to YouTube.

But I've never actually used iMovie except once, and I was ridiculously confused, so I'll trust your judgment. (It should be noted that I have done extensive video editing and effects in Windows on Sony Vegas and Adobe After Effects though)
