MR_Candyman
i actually think the opposite... Forza 3 is FAR BETTER then NFS: Shift because not only is it realistic... it's MUCH MORE FUN to play. (plus not to mention Forza 3 is THE BEST racing game (be it Sim or Arcade) out there. period.)NFS:Shift's main flaw is that it took out the strength of the recent NFS games which was the "COPS" ... which is WHY (for me) Most Wanted is still easily the overall best of the new NFS games. NFS Shift on the other hand also changed the gameplay which i preferred the older NFS Most Wanted driving style. (basically the core gameplay has been pretty much the same in the NFS series since Underground all the way up until prior to Shift) it was a big mistake imho for them to change the gameplay to try to get arcade/somewhat sim as the games strength was the cops/arcade like feel to it which they removed the cops AND got rid of the core gameplay that i liked about the NFS series. p.s. to get the most FUN out of Forza 3 (and Forza series in general) you MUST play with ALL ASSISTS OFF (you can use automatic if you want but i use manual with clutch myself) as it makes it more fun/challenging that way. i actually think the 'engine sound' area is the only MAJOR area Forza series needs alot of work on. because take for example... a Ferrari F40... listen to that in the game and then listen to it (even stock) on Youtube and there's a BIG difference. same goes with alot of muscle cars. but basically the engine sounds are to WEAK sounding to.... but besides the engine sounds the game is pretty much perfect. Exactly, except for the engine sounds. You really have to hear them in person to realize that they were well recorded. The problem with internet videos is the microphones used to record. They are usually very cheap and very succeptible to bass, since they are designed to react to all sound equally. The Forza crew used much better, much more accurate mics. DigitalE
As a simulator Forza is great That's the entire point.

carmatic
I never said I didn't like realisim. If an arcade game can make better car models and better scenery you might want to start firing people. do you know the difference between gameplay mechanics and eye candy? there's realistically moving the car through an unrealistic-looking place, and there's unrealistically moving the car through a pretty-looking place.... one is forza, one is shift

WastedJoker
I like NFS: Shift because I prefer arcadey games but I would consider a sim racer if it let you relax the rules a tad.
