Malechai Veteran Posted December 20, 2001 Veteran Share Posted December 20, 2001 Thats amazing because I've never heard of that combination doing what CTRL-ALT-DEL does. AFAIK thats been a standard for windows since the beginning?

Steven
You Can Push Ctrl Alt Delete Fifty Bazzilion Times iN XP...only that'll happen is that you'll get the task manager, in NT 2000/XP you can't do a 3 finger solute to restart the machine. Deryck
There is one way around the loss of ability to press ctrl-alt-del twice to restart. As you press ctrl-alt-del and the task manager comes up, there is a menu called "shut down", as you press it, it gives you options on what actions, like shut down (of course), restart, stand by etc.
pethron
For those people who misses the old dialog which appears when you press the known combination, there is a solution without the need of a domain which also solve this. Please read my post at this page .
StimpyX
I believe he was thinking instead of the (Futurama) keyboard sequence "Function+Ctrl+Shift+Kill". For Intel folk, replace Function with Alt... :cheeky:
