Having used dual-monitor screens for awhile, I have been using Ultramon for my dual-monitor taskbar.

Up until the release of Windows 7, Ultramon has been great, but now that Microsoft have added greater mouseover effects for active programs, Ultramon does not support these effects.

Do you think Microsoft should just simply add an extended taskbar for Windows? There isn't too much behind it, but limiting the taskbar to one monitor, out of the box, seems to disappoint users like me with new taskbar features.

it was one of the first things i tried to find out about when i installed the OS. shame it doesnt appear to be possible without 3rd party apps still
