Madoshi
watch out how much time you put into this should you feel inclined to pay for it after ten days at the computer shop there would be this fat dude... about 24 years old i would say, a true WoW addict. all he talked about every time he was there was either in-game, or how to make the game faster without coughing up some cash. i think he wanted one of us to install a pair of 10 gig drives in a software RAID 0 into his 450MHz dinosaur. presumingly to play WoW off of. and he wanted it done free, since he knew the owner. this guy was FAT. he sounded like a kid, he spoke with the mind of a kid. i swear to god he never grew up. don't think he has a job, though i imagine he had one at one time. later that week he saw one of my own for-sale machines on the store counter while i was not around. somebody (who i am not so happy with anymore) said that i would hold it if he made $50 payments every Friday. the machine was priced at $150 and was everything he needed and more. 3 weeks later he is telling us about this $80 keyboard he just bought. me asking the dude there who set this whole "payment" thing up where the hell my cash was, i find out that the dude who is buying my computer is the dude who has no money, no life, no ride, a brand new keyboard, and years of time wasted playing WoW. go ahead, try it out, but please, i beg you, do not become this guy :(

Xilo
Aside from TRC's trial suggestion you should ignore him. There's so much to do with WoW that it'll take you a long time to try everything properly, and if you're not prepared to invest time in WoW then don't bother paying for it mate, as it does require quite a bit of time invested in it... I would disagree. Once you get to 80, it's all downhill from there. At level 80, you can pretty much do everything there is to do in 3 days. Day 1: VoA 10/25 and Ony 10/25 Day 2: ToC 10 Day 3: ToC 25 What's left to do in the rest of the week? Farm the same heroics over and over every day, do the same dailies every day, do BGs, or level another character. Then it's back to square 1. AltecXP
I've been playing over a year and only at lv 71. I've been taking my time, only playing 30-90min(average) a day(not every day) and trying to see all I can while I'm in an area.

It takes around a week or two to get geared for Ulduar 25. And then after that ToC10/25 (Quit after I was 3/5, so I don't even know what drops). And there's always PvP. Try getting 2200+ in Arena, that'll keep you occupied for alot of time mainly because it's alot of fun. If you've got an addictive and competitive personality.. then I'd suggest against this game. If you've got self-control then go for it. P.S. I quit cause I found it drained a LOT of my time. Xilo
Carrying through content? No, not really. Gearing up is FAST now with the addition of ToC. No one even does Ulduar now anymore. Level 80 -> Farm ToC and Heroics -> Get ToC gear and conquest gear -> Farm HToC Once you've gotten most of that you can jump right into ToC 10/25m, VoA 10/25m, Onyxia 10/25m. Not everyone enjoys PvP. I certainly don't.
