LOC Veteran Posted November 3, 2009 Veteran Share Posted November 3, 2009 So I saw over on Massively earlier that a new (free) web based voice chat service launched today called Blabbelon. It uses the Skype codecs (I think) and is totally web based meaning no download required etc. Just a simple to use java based system from the looks of it. You create an account, once logged in you are in a room with your email an Blabbelon etc. You can invite people into your room, make new rooms or join other people's rooms. You are the admin of your own room of course. It's quite the neat little web based dealio. Might be a nice change from Ventrilo? :) Try it out here Oh and if you wanna join my Blab it's lordloc@blabbelon.com :D
HawkMan
I dunno if it uses the skype protocols, it won't be awfully popular with gamers. The protocol is too heavy, bopth on bandwidth and resources. unless you know how to set up qos on your router the skype protocols will be really bad on games, at least competitive ones.
