+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted November 4, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted November 4, 2009 As seen on the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 blog, where, I'll guess, the redacted words include "Infinity" and "Ward." acnpt
Who wrote this? a 12 year old, or a 30 year old living in their parent's basement? At least Eddie is supporting pc gaming. Good luck to him, or something.
Dead_Monkey
I believe that in the case of BFBC2, "dedicated server" still doesn't mean what the people who are ****ed at Infinity Ward think it means. They want "private servers that I can run on my own system and do whatever I want with to run mods and stuff" and they're going to get "private servers that you can lease from someone else that are significant more limited than what I am accustomed to." It's just a matter of time until they go ballistic again. PC gamers: always self-indulgent.

PC gamers: always self-indulgent. No really one said that dedicated servers and mod support, are the same. Some of the PC gamers are ****ed at IW for two main things; a) Degrading them to the standards that the console players are used to (a game with max of 18 players), instead of an option for a dedicated machine that can pull a 64 players game with ease. b) Forcing them to wait for an option to buy a poor map pack, that only includes the same maps they already had, but with a few changed details (like added snow, or a change from daylight to night time). And yeah, the max of 18 players part is true: http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99105
