+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted November 5, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted November 5, 2009 I just played Carmageddon 2 for the first time in years, this thread reminded me of it! I've had a disc for years but never used it. I'm so surprised. It worked in Windows 7 64-bit right off the bat. I just had to alter the compatibility mode to Windows 95, force the resolution to 640x480 and it worked a charm. Even got a 3DFX emulator working to improve the graphics. It's a lotta fun! Haha. Emn1ty
Boy that brings me back I spent many hours playing Sierra On-line games. I still think it was one of Roberta Williams best games. THANK YOU!Someone remembered it! That makes me happy. No game gave me more willies than that game. I think Fear came close to giving me a similar sensation. But my heart was racing when I was running from that demon.
LOC Veteran Posted November 6, 2009 Veteran Share Posted November 6, 2009 The Alien Shooter series of games is nothing but a constant explosion of blood and alien guts. Literally. Soldier of Fortune 2 (and 1 as well heh) was awesome for gore hounds. Postal 2, totally gory but so offensive also. It was always fun to light some poor schmo on fire then whiz on them to put them out :D Quake 3, when you shot up a body that just died and it exploded into blood and gibs...I used to love that! It may not be "gory" per se but it sure is bloody.
