I dunno where you got The Last Guardian and Metal Gear Solid: Rising dates from, some gaming website?

I doubt The Last Guardian will be out till the end of next year, I don't think we have seen enough to assume its coming out in the next 6 months, let alone in 4.

And Metal Gear Solid: Rising, well, we got a trailer that contained nothing in game during e3, and they are building the game from scratch, no, it wont be out for a long long time.

But ignoring those, yes, our wallets are going to be raped during the spring season for game releases.

I was surfing Shopto pre-orders when I noticed them so, yeah, they might be a tad optimistic :p

Still, I'll be buying GOWIII, Bad Company 2, HR: Origami Killer, FFXIII definitely with GG5 as a maybe :(

I'm also have to buy the new Aliens game.

My credit card is already looking sheepish.

Uh notice how everything says the 26th? Placeholder...

And MAG is coming in January, so fail there whoever wrote that list.

The Last Guardian March? Yeah right. 2010 probably in Japan.

Out of all the games on that list, I'm only really looking forward to God of War 3 and Dante's Inferno. And I'll be getting Dante's Inferno for the 360. But that's just personal preference.

I'm swamped with awesome games as of right now, so I'm a little happy those two games are a ways off still. I'm currently playing Borderlands, but Assassin's Creed 2 comes out next week. And I haven't even gotten around to playing Uncharted 2 yet. I'm falling behind on my gaming quota. :pinch:

Haha I opened this thread from the main page thinking you were talking about the release of Visual Studio 2010. Too much developer in me lol

Heavy Rain for sure, even if it is banned in Australia! *horah for EBAY* - MAG maybe, Final Fantasy XIII definately, and probably Aliens. Thats bout it for me on that list. MAY get God of War III if and only if it includes part 1 and 2 on the blu ray as I have never played it.

God Of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy XII, Heavy Rain. All those games in March? Dammit.

Nah no chance, Heavy Rain will be sent to it's death.

It'll either pop up in February, or early summer. Needs a quieter month to get some hype behind it.

Exactly, my guess is the latter. Sony has a great year ahead of itself and it isn't going to blow everything in one month. Expect Heavy Rain to continue to receive more polish as they start getting the advertising train rolling in maybe say late April.

I choose not to own a PS3 (or any gaming console for that matter).

I've been out of the gaming arena for quite some time, and is this what the market has evolved into? I see some 2s, 3s, 4, 5 and a 13 in your list. Really? There's no original material at all anymore?

I dont agree with you there... I buy sequels because of the rich characters and universe they have built up since the last game.

Playing new titles is nice but it can be hit and miss. Sometimes I rather just build up on my experiences that start from scratch every time.

Well, to be fair, the "13" in your list was more like 13 different games, as none of them are connected to each other. They just share a name.

But yeah, in general (yeah. yeah. there are exceptions), just like in the movie business, it's all about milking the cow to its last drop.

Well that just shows that you are as you say, not into the gaming market.

This generations seen some of the craziest concepts/biggest risks in quite a while in this industry. There's even quite a bit of what people like to coin as "non-games", PSN has quite a few of them :p

It's just the mainstream media is filled with the blockbuster sequels with enough money thrown behind them to bring a small country out of poverty. That's what gets coverage, why is Flower going to get discussed on TV? It doesn't have a level where you mow down civilians :p
