PSP Go Hacked!

Recommended Posts

Some folks measure the length of time it takes for a new console to be hacked wide open by how long it takes to display a "Hello, World!" message. For us, that metric is determined by how long it takes to get a Sega CD emulator running on the system. For the PSP Go, that period of time has been finalized: 43 long, lonely, Night Trap-less days.

A YouTube video by "Neon" from "Team Typhoon" (is that some sort of gang?) appears to prove that on some PSP Go, somewhere in the world, one can play Sonic CD. Don't get your hopes up -- the video's annotations repeatedly promise that the hack will not be released to the general public, so for the time being, you're going to have to keep playing that old copy of Wirehead on your clunky, Voltron-esque home console. Still, our heart swells knowing that our wildest dreams are possible -- if not slightly out of reach.

This firmware from this group might not being released but the real news is progress is being made and chances are it'll 'leak' or another group is doing the same.

They obviously can't for the PS3...

They will either release it, leak it or someone else will make it. It's not like these are the only people who will ever hack it ever.

the PS3 being modded is just a dumb idea anyways, bluray burners cost too much, blank blurays costs too much, and do you know how long it would take to get a 25-50gb file over "the usual place"

as for the PSP, I will remain faithful to my fatty, and can honestly care less if the go ever gets modded.

It will get released... all these people who showed Proof of Concept on the Fatty and said they would never release it. Well they didnt. However that did not stop other talented individuals releasing it.

You wouldnt need to burn them to Blu-Ray disc, you could just run the ISO from the XMB like the PSP.

I dont think there are any dual layer PS3 games so they would be 25Gb Max and most games dont even come close to filling 25gb, they would be not much bigger than Xbox 360 games which people regularly download.

The PSP Go being hacked still doesnt make it any better for being a actual buy.

Throw it in the bin where it belongs, and forget you ever made it Sony.

it would take over a year over here at my current internet

It would prolly take about a good 20 hours to get a 20gig file over my current speed.

Anyways I look forward to a full hack getting released, because that is what I'm holding off for with the Go.
