OperationBrian
Hello everyone, have not posted here in a while, but I have a question. I am really digging Tweetie over Twitteriffic (which I got free from the MacHeist nanoBundle that just happened). The ads in Tweetie are really well done, and not obtrusive at all. I am debating on purchasing Tweetie because of this. I'm just curious for those of you who use Tweetie on your Mac, do you use the free ad-supported version, or have you paid to go ad free? DanielZ
I have had Tweetie since the day it came out and it is incredible. Its interface simply blows Twitteriffic out of the water. The ads in it were pretty well done as you said, and I went and bought a license. Now the ads didn't bother me at all- it's just that I liked Tweetie so much that I felt like supporting the developer's hard work. Plus it's reasonably priced, unlike some software *cough*ADOBE!*cough*.

OperationBrian
I quickly uninstalled Twitterrific after about 15 minutes and went back to the free version of Tweetie. I don't tweet that much - maybe once every 1-2 weeks, but I tweets constantly from tech companies/people I like as well as some sports and music groups. Twitter and Google Reader are pretty much where I spend most of my free internet browsing time, just reading news and all. Since I don't tweet that much and I only have one twitter account, I don't know if I want to buy Tweetie just yet. I really do like it though.
