Spookie
Even so, with how BC2 is looking and the good reviews that it will likely get, I can see it being an even bigger player by the time that the next CoD is out. Doubt it, good reviews doesn't means good sales. Nothing can touch the money activison pours in to the hype of MW2.
Xilo
The only reason they didn't release dedicated servers for MW2 is so they can pull this crap. Force users to pay cash for additional maps.
what
No thanks, It does not make me buy anything new again from Activision I bet you buy the next CoD.
rajputwarrior
hate him or love them, this is smart business and i bet a lot of you are going to buy the game anyways, and spend money for the in game content becuase this game is worse then crack for some people. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/MW2-Boycott/members look how many so call "angry gamers" who were going to boycott the game are playing it now. FAIL!
Xilo
what exactly does a MMO offer that users pay for that other games don't? I can only think of a server that can host thousands at a time.... other than that, there is no feature worth paying after the price of the game.... Persistent worlds, generally free content updates, and thousands of simultaneous players on a single server.

FlibbyFlobby
There will be plenty of other developers making great multiplayer games who won't be trying to squeeze every last penny from their customers wallets. The Teej
It depends. If it's just like MW2s online MP, but pay monthly, that would probably bomb. But a COD MMO, going through the entirety of World War 1 and 2, where there can be millions of people fighting each other FPS style in a similar fashion to a real world war? Yeah... I can see how that could survive. It'd definitely be an interesting take on things.

I don't know if you played the beta, but you get to choose from 1 of 3 factions when you start, and every game played within each game mode goes towards and overall standing for your faction. FlibbyFlobby
Speaking of things similar to MW, you can get a PS3 Bad Company 2 beta key from Fileplanet. I'm not sure if it's North America only, but I'm assuming it can just be redeemed with a US account.

DrunknMunky Veteran Posted November 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted November 17, 2009 Yeah those BFBC2 codes are US only. I was going to grab one when they announced it on Twitter but then saw the message they're region specific. Didn't know you could still use them? You just need to redeem on that particular regional account?

They might force you to play with the US PSN account, but betas in the past haven't. As long as they're redeemed on the US account all local accounts can play. The most recent US beta I've been in was the Fat Princess one.
