I got a key, downloaded and installed... then once in game it had to download nearly 2GB more lol.

I stopped it tho, I'm gonna give up on FPS games (I totally suck at them anyways :p)

Downloaded it and played it a little last night.

It doesn't feel very tactical so far  unless tactical = camping and sniping. I don't know if it was the gamma settings (if there are any) but the lighting seemed a little off. Guns feel light and twitchy and using triangle for crouch/prone is fail. Hopefully you get to freely assign controls rather than selecting a bunch of presets.

It ran smoothly enough and it appears to have scope for more complexity but that wasn't very apparent in the few games I managed - everyone just rushed about without any purpose.

Are there squad controls such as "Defend here" "Attack there"? I didn't notice any but I wasn't a squad leader so.......

It feels a lot like CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars, imo, which isn't a good thing. It doesn't feel anywhere near as good as Bad Company/COD multiplayer.

In fact, the only standout part of the game is prospect for choosing your PMC and trying to control a dynamic world map.......

Just thought I'd let people know this was a new beta at first, but they're now allowing the people who were in the previous to join in.

I'm updating now.

Yeah, around 1.8GB.

I played it this morning, and all I can say is: "WOW"

I like it a lot more than MW2, and more than Bad Company 2.

Its hectic as hell!

Further play of the beta/demo confirms it for me - I'll be giving this one a miss. The 256-players is impressive but it's not backed up by anything else. Gameplay is nothing special, the graphics are pretty average, and overall I'm left feeling cold.

Maybe the final version will be better but I don't think they have the time to improve what I find lacking.

Forgot to download this while I'm @ work today. Not that I'll pick it up on release, I'm too much of a trophy ###### for online games like this or SOCOM, but it'd be nice to experience.
