+Frank B. Subscriber² Posted November 25, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted November 25, 2009 Confirmed. The rumors about Google's redesign are true, and you can try it for yourself with a very simple method. 1. Go to Google.com. 2. Once it loads, enter this code into your web browser's URL address field: java script:void(document.cookie="PREF=ID=20b6e4c2f44943bb:U=4bf292d46faad806:TM=1249677602:LM=1257919388:S=odm0Ys-53ZueXfZG;path=/; domain=.google.com"); There shouldn't be any http://google.com in front of that. Just that code. 3. Hit enter. 4. Reload the Google.com page and you will have access to the new user interface. Source: Gizmodo I tried it out. It works. LOC Veteran Posted November 25, 2009 Veteran Share Posted November 25, 2009 It's because there's a break in the code in the box up there between java and script and it needs to be one word. java script:void(document.cookie="PREF=ID=20b6e4c2f44943bb:U=4bf292d46faad806:TM=1249677602:LM=1257919388:S=odm0Ys-53ZueXfZG;path=/; domain=.google.com"); is how it should come out properly, at least I hope it does. Yes, make sure you take out the space between JAVA and SCRIPT. Otherwise you'll error out.

+Frank B. Subscriber² Posted November 25, 2009 Author Subscriber² Share Posted November 25, 2009 The IPB forum software insists on adding a line break between java and script. Remove that and it'll work. I tried it in IE 8, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Worked in all four of them.

MikeChipshop Member Posted November 25, 2009 Member Share Posted November 25, 2009 Doesn't work for me. I presume this is because Google always reverts to .co.uk
Yelreve
Nope, it could be to do with the fact that it is 3.7 though...

Yelreve
OK just tried it on Firefox 3.6 and it works so I think it is 3.7 related.
LOC Veteran Posted November 25, 2009 Veteran Share Posted November 25, 2009 It works for me in every browser EXCEPT K-Meleon for some reason. Not sure why, but it does work in IE8, Safari, Chrome, FF, Opera etc etc. Not sure I like the deep blue color like that. But it's certainly speedy, amazing considering how fast Google is already. MikeChipshop Member Posted November 25, 2009 Member Share Posted November 25, 2009 People stop posting 'this is the correct code' IPB will always add a space between Java and script rendering it not the correct code.
