Kinda sad the lack of games that are

I don't care when they are released if waiting means a higher quality end product.

Or they were pushed back to not compete with MW2, AC2, and L4D2. Well not just those three, a couple more here and there too.

At least theres mw2?

That "everyone" is apparently bored with already

Q1/Q2 2010 is ridiculously loaded, games are going to get overlooked because of that, much worse than they would of this fall due to MW2 - One could argue though these games hitting early 2010 may have needed the development time anyway.

I'm more than happy. Dragon Age, AC2, L4D2 and while I don't like the series a lot theres MW2 as well. Probably some other good games there also. I think it's a decent line up.

We don't have as many Fall titles this year as we did last year, but there still seems to be a decent selection to choose from. Forza 3, Uncharted 2 (yes, I realize this is the Microsoft subforum), Assassin's Creed 2, Dragon Age, Modern Warfare 2, and Left 4 Dead 2 are all on my list of games to play once I'm back from university. I realize that some of those games aren't considered "new" anymore, but it's still a decent lineup.

And like Frank said, if the extra time in development means a more polished product, then I'm happy.

Quite a few companies have pushed their products back due to MW2. It's a very expensive game and quite anticipated. They didn't want to make gamers have to choose between MW2 and their games for the year-end gaming budget.

I don't mind games being pushed back, ive been waiting years for Splinter Cell Conviction, what i don't agree with is having to wait 4-6 months after the console version comes out just to get the PC version of a game.

I would rather another 3-6 months for a game to be polished then see a game come out just because of a set release date that isnt 100% done.

As others have said, I would rather have more games spread throughout the year anyway. And bored with MW2? Spec ops alone adds some nice value let alone multiplayer.

But it's so cool to be a nonconformist and ignore things like that...:p

Companies seem to be focussing more on hardware sales and bundle packs other than new titles this Christmas.

Totally forgot Borderlands which I love. Plus as someone said theres Forza and Uncharted 2 also. Band hero may do alright leading up to XMas for those that aren't sick of the genre. Seems to be plenty of very solid titles, even if this year most are multi platform (a good thing IMHO).

As I've been away at Uni and not been playing the latest games that have been released, I've got myself a nice back catalogue that will keep me very busy over the Christmas break. :)

Now's a good time to catch up on unlocking some achievements in games you already own... that's what I'll be doing.

But what if your not into the whole achievement side of things?
