Wii or xbox 360

Recommended Posts

If you want to entertain people when they are over (with something other than Rock Band / Guitar Hero) get a Wii.

If you want to game, get an XBOX 360.

By now, the novelty of wii sports wore off, so as far as entertaining guests, games like Scene It, 1 vs 100, and Rockband outweigh wii sports.

I say get an Xbox 360 first. Then, if you want a 2nd console down the road, get a Wii.

Wii or 360 but it depends on the games ya wish to play . Wii brings alot to the table as far as control shem goes but the 360 brings better graphics tho some of todays Wii games out and comming out demonstrate great leaps in graphics for the system.

If you're really into gaming then 360. If you're like me the casual gamer I got a Wii. I don't regret getting a Wii but I'm not into gaming like I used to be and yes I like Wii Sports :)

Still trying to beat my 795 score in Powershot (Bowling)

Get a 360 because it caters to both the hardcore and the casual markets whereas wii only caters to casual.

wi has been coming out with games this year and next that cater to hardcore gamers so dont say it is only for casual gamers

I would recommend a Wii. Simply because they are a whole load of fun and anyone can join in, you can have a right laugh with your mates, they are great at parties, when you have friends/family round etc. I just got the new Super Mario Wii and it's amazing, you can see that the quality of the graphics in the Wii games are getting better. BBC iPlayer is available for it now, you can download most if not all of previous generations console games, NES, SNES, Master System, Game Cube, N64, Neo Geo etc, also demos of new games.

I have previously had an Xbox Elite and personally i would choose the Wii over that any day. It seems to me that Nintendo are more about the future of gaming whilst Microsoft are more focused on offering what cyber kids where doing ten years ago, sitting infront of a screen, shooting enemies and discussing tactics with someone on the other side of the world. Amazing!! i feel sweaty just talking about it. There's nothing wrong with it, i just perfer a new way to play games.

360. Then 6 months down the road when you get a RROD, buy another 360. So on and so forth :D

This is not true with the latest versions sold. You should not spread fud before checking your facts ;)

If you want a good solid fun console, get a Wii.

If you want a good solid gaming box get a PS3.

If you want a unit that will fall apart and has some decent games but they look like **** get a 360.

There is a very simple way to select a new console; write down the games on the platform which you simply must have and when the cost of those games combined equals the cost of the console then your purchase is warranted.

Console wars are only for the closed minded and those which cannot afford multiple systems...the rest of us buy them all and play every game that even remotely interests us.

The notions of casual and hardcore are but myths used, quite effectively, as marketing tools. (and quite effectively making tools of many ;) )
