zakyr
I recently installed half life 2 episode one (orange box version). Whenever I ran the game it used to crash without showing any error messages at the loading screen post valve logo. A bit of tweaking/reinstalling/parameter trick and now I'm reduced to the same issue only this time it has started showing error messages at the loading screen. After exiting it shows me the Internal driver error in IDirect3DDevice9::Present() message and when I press ok, it displays another message that says The instruction at "0x125b3e2c referenced memory at "0x0d91a1a0". The memory could not be "read". I'am totally stumped about the solution. By the way, I previously ran Half Life 2 with a few command line parameters which worked fine. Subject Delta
All DirectX Downloads If you are running Windows Vista or 7 I would recommend fetching the Direct X redist (the full redist, not the DX9 one)

Subject Delta
In that case then, I would recommend getting the DX9.0c Redist which is This download (and installing SP3 :p).
