gazebee_
I'm working on doing a presentation of Mac and PC history, and I remember reading on tech news site a while back about Apple taking forever to patch up critical security flaws. I need this to illustrate various security issues with both platforms. Can someone with digging them up?
Chrysaor
Here is a recent one I remember: http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2009/06/...lnerability.ars It took Apple 7 months to publish a patch for public critical Java vulnerability. Java is included in OS X and enabled by default and only Apple can provide patches. Also, Snow Leopard (10.6.0) didn't ship with the latest version of Flash, but an outdated one with critical vulnerability.

BigBoobLover
Also, Snow Leopard (10.6.0) didn't ship with the latest version of Flash, but an outdated one with critical vulnerability. To be fair on that though, it should be noted that the version of Flash that was shipped WAS current when the discs were sent out for pressing. The vulnerability was discovered just after that, and the update was available when the discs hit the stores.
