Xbox headset

Recommended Posts

So I bought my xbox 360 elite back in August or September. The other night while playing modern warfare, it stopped working completely...Will microsoft replace it for free? I plan on calling them later on.

The basic microphones are so cheap and crappy though it's probably not worth it. In all honesty go out and get yourself a wireless one, they are better quality sound wise and its easier to get up and make a drink without taking the controller with you because the headsets plugged into it, quite often I've yanked mine out of the controller :pinch:

ive still got my 3 year old wired headset - my friend had to resolder the wire though as i wasnt able to connect properly - if you know how to do that maybe you should give it a try

Edit: .Rob, why does it say our game privacy settings are enabled, my privacy settings are not enabled at all??????

In all honesty I hate the wired one (uncomfortable and feels cheap) just as much as the wireless one (the in ear speaker on three units of mine all sucked and they aren't all that comfy either). Maybe I expect too much from the device but the sound quality was awful.

Next time I consider buying one it'll probably be a third party solution to see if they suit me any more.

It's some sort of glitch with MGC, I see it happen a lot.

Can you use Xbox 1 headsets from all those years ago ?

You can but you lose the on/off switch and volume control as those were on the adapter that plugged into the Xbox memory slot. Kudos to anyone who has actually managed to keep one of those headsets working this long, those things broke just by looking at them wrong.

Got my original headset somewhere (Y) Never broke, worked like a dream, I actually prefer those to the Xbox 360 ones!

However, OT, Microsoft should replace it for free if you're nice about it :)
