McCordRm
Wow, lot's of haters here. I say more power to him. If I could screw Jennifer Love Hewitt 14.6 times a day for the next year and a half, I'd sure as hell do it ... work and "the rest of life" be damned! If this makes the guy happy, who the hell am I to argue?

Tharp Daddy
That's dedication, if he could find a buyer with enough money to buy his account that would earn him a large chunk of money. Though no doubt irony would kick in and it would get banned as soon as he tried.

Saburac
I love people who talk about how sad games are as they sit in front of their computer posting on web forums. Do they watch TV or movies? How is that any different?
Pharos
I love people who talk about how sad games are as they sit in front of their computer posting on web forums. Do they watch TV or movies? How is that any different? That's because we are referring to the duration of said activity. Surely to achieve an average of 14 completed quests a day, he must wake up and go straight to his PC and play WOW until right before bedtime, which is pretty sad IMO. Playing a game in this intensity must definitely mess up one's brain reward mechanism, which explains him getting all those achievements to fuel his addiction. I think that's very different from watching TV. I'm also pretty sure most people who think this is sad do not spend a similar amount of time watching TV or movies. You do know, quests on average take 5-10minutes.. So he could of easily done it averaging 2 hours a day playing it.. or play it for one full evening a week. So, no it isnt all that different from watching TV, as i know alot of people who come home from work and watch TV for afew hours a night (or even play on there xbox360). I'm pretty sure most people who go out and get drunk every night, consider playing any game or posting on an internet forum every night to be sad. While alot of people who post on neowin would consider going out and getting drunk every night to be sad. Its all relative and when it comes down to it, it only matters what you enjoy doing. The only real difference between him and the average WoW player, is that he decided to try and complete every achievement and get his fun from that, rather than solely doing PvE raids or PvP. How is that any different? You don't understand the intensity of some of these achievements. A LOT of those achievements involve sitting around killing the same monsters for several hours a day for several days a week. All those reputations he has at exalted? That can take play time in WEEKS alone to accomplish. It would be the equivalent of someone watching TV/movies for 5+ hours a day every day of the week not doing anything else. In both cases, it's equally sad.

In both cases, it's equally sad. The reputation time scale is since the launch of WoW.. so in 5years its pretty easy to get exaulted reputation. Especially if you've done every single quest for that repuation, which since TBC tends to get you very close if not to exaulted status. So on the 5year time scale, it doesnt work out to be 5+ hours every day of every week.
Xilo
Every person that I knew that had over 5000 achievement points plays for 5 hours every day of the week. This guy is in a dedicated raiding guild with several world or server firsts and all of the hard mode achievements (obviously...). Many guilds like this play for 40 hours or so a week. Many of the achievements he has are entirely luck based as well or require extreme dedication and camping (for all of the rare spawns) to get. It's only been available for 4 years in Taiwan also... I played EverQuest back in middle school and high school for 4 years and had 365 days played on my character. I wasn't even a hardcore player, in the best guild, etc. I knew people with similar play time. So, we'll use this as a guesstimate. 365 days = 1 year played over the course of 4 years So, he spent 1/4 of the time playing. 1/4th of 1 day = 6 hours a day 365 days * 24 hours = 8760 total hours played 365 days * 4 years = 1460 days over 4 years * 6 hours played each day = 8760 total hours played So yes, it does work out to 5+ hours a day. Liana
It makes me wonder how he feels now. He plays for all that time and does everything there is to do, then turns off his computer and has nothing to show for it but countless empty soda bottles and Hot Pocket wrappers. I hope he still has some friends.

TaiCrunch
All that and he's only hugged 11 players? Hell, my 43 Tauren druid goes on hugging rampages. You're not 'done' with WoW until you hug everyone on your server. Then you start spawn-camping.
