TrickierStinky
Hi guys, Just a quick one, Is there an better alternative to empire earth series out there? a strategy game that allows you to progress through the ages so to speak? I've been wanting a game like this for ages and never got on with empire earth so was just wondering is there a better one out there? thanks matt
trag3dy
Maybe not exactly what you're after but there is Empire: Total War, and it has a lot of dlc out for it as well. Pretty good game all in all.
LingeringSoul
It's not a new game by any stretch (it came out in 2003 if I recall), but Rise of Nations certainly fits the description. It's a real-time strategy game, but it borrows quite heavily from the turn-based games like Civilization (i.e. The concept of territory, ages, etc). I believe there is a demo, so at the very least it's worth a look, so long as you don't mind playing an old game (and as for multiplayer, I'm pretty sure most of the community has moved on by now).
