evo0o
this is catered for the current generation of mbp. was wondering how do you guys keep your batteries in good shape. i know calibration every month is a good thing. is it normal to use battery power till 5% before plugging it in? or do you guys just keep the mbp plugged in as often as possible (ie whenever a power source is available)
RuudJacobs.NET
I fully empty it every month, untill it powers off, I leave it for 5 hours and then charge it completely in 1 go. During use I do a lot of plugged in work, as well as battery (it empties allmost completely 3-4 times a week). Battery is still OK after a year and a half. Emptying the battery 3-4 times per week is not good. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1764220 This is an excellent resource on proper battery care for portable Mac's. evo0o
i usually use my mbp till it's left with 5% charge then plugging it in, it's bad? i think i charge it from 5% to 100% everyday. it's hard to find a power source in university, haha.
