Sethos
Hey, To the ( few? ) people who plays this fantastic game, some may also have heard about the possibility of playing the campaign section of the game cooperatively with a friend. Well, it has been in development for quite a while but yesterday it was finally released as a public beta. You can find it here; http://www.totalwar.com/empire/beta/ - Just need to sign up / in with a Sega Pass and they will send you a key you can activate through steam, which then adds the ability to host campaigns. A friend and me tested it out last night and we were impressed, it works very well and gives you so many possibilities. It does however take some patience, as you can't do much when the other player is making his move but you can do basic stuff like scrolling the map, checking out various menus and do a few repairs but you can't build, recruit or do anything politically. So while it does take some patience, it's massive fun to plan and work together with a friend to establish world domination and quite possibly stab your friend in the back at some point  Tonight we started our 'real' game we have planned to have running over the next few weeks - Oh yeah, you can save / load the game. So whoever is an Empire fan and has a friend who owns the game as well, definitely check this out!
LOC Veteran Posted December 8, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 8, 2009 I'd go and try this, but I don't feel like redownloading 15+ gigs again for it heh. Not to mention however big the expansion might be. Plus, it ran like poo on my rig anyways. Gonna have to wait until my main rig is back up and running before I can attempt this one again I think.
