Biggest game disappointment of 2009

Recommended Posts

Prince Of Persia- kinda disappointed me...Didn't care much for the new Fighting System...and to be honest kinda of bored me which is sad because I had such high hopes....

Umm I know I'm Going to be attack but GTA4...it seemed way to serious and lost the corkiness of the previous titles...

Oh and Halo Wars...Why oh why wasn't this made for PC....Trying to play this on the 360 was like trying carve each and every toenail off with a butter knife....

Ill shut up now (which Im sure many will appreciate)

Since this thread got bumped, I'll add my input.

Borderlands was terrible.

I loved MW2. I bought MW so I'll see how that compares.

Regardless, online play, I'll choose MW2 over its former.

Aion for me. I can't believe how different this game really was from my first impression. Seemed really nice at first glance but became a major frustration 35 levels later and many hours of grind.

Wolfenstein for sure - they really had to try to mess up one of the classic gaming franchises, and they tried their best.

Wanted: WoF - I had fun, the gameplay was good, the story was interesting, but it was way too short and way too easy, even on the hardest difficulty.

I just wished Mafia 2 and Alan Wake had been released in 2009, but oh well, another year, new games will be out for sure.

For me it was Batman : Arkham Asylum (sp?)

The fact that the Poison Ivy fight was LEAGUES harder than the final fight with the joker, and that you only hit him 3 times technically and he's done really upset me. The final fight should have been epic instead I feel it petered out way too fast.

Did Saints Row 2 come out in 2009 or 2008? Either way, I just played it a few months ago and it was absolutely terrible, in my opinion. Not a total waste--video games rarely are, for me--but I won't be going back to it now that I've finished it.

ODST. It wasn't terrible, and I'm still getting some gameplay out of it (working on achievements), but it was definitely disappointing. I didn't read up on it much, though, so I'm not nearly as disappointed as people who may have been really hyped ahead of time.

As an eternal optimist, I'll also point out a game that surprised me, this year: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I can't imagine I'd have enjoyed it nearly as much if I hadn't played it with someone, though.
