My NFS Shift problems

Recommended Posts

A few daysa go i decided to take the plunge and buy SHIFT for PC off steam, and ever since ive been upable to play it due to the game being totally unstable, so today i rang up EA and got hold of some tech support.

To cut a very long story short the first time i rang some sleepy sounding guy answered and took some details, it wasnt till the end of the call that i discovered that he was working at 4am and he didnt sound like he wanted to be there (dont blame him actully), but anyway 5 hours later i get a phone call from EA in the US (im based in the UK incase people dont remember) and a really helpfull guy took my system specs and i told him the problems i had been having, he said he would ring me back within 2 hours, which he did, and he added NFS Shift on my EA games account (which i sometimes use) for free (along with Undercover, not so good but hey its free) so i downloaded shift and patched it to 1.02 and it works perfectly, so far, i need to do more testing tomorrow, but it appears that the 1.02 patch which isnt out on steam atm fixed my problems.

I never thought EA, esp in the US would ring me back, and esp help me, not once did they treat me like an idiot or a moron, they gathered from what i had already tried i was a techie nerd, so they didnt try to patronise me, which i thought was cool

so a massive thumbs up for EA US!!
