JK1150
I saw this popping up on random sites and now on neowin, is this a new type of ad scam? It's an interesting concept b/c it would be hard to disable as ppl need this for restricted sites:
Cody
im not getting it at neowin. maybe you have somethign installed.

Cody
run ad aware. i type in neowin.net into the address bar to get here and have not got it.
ddbweb
I've got it a couple of times. Zone Alarm asks if "joeblowprogram.exe" can access the net and then i see that box. Run AdAware
JK1150
i run ad-aware pro on a regular basis and it's not me, it's gotta be the site. look at the picture below, that ad right there seems to fail to load in any browser at random times, sometimes it shows the correct ad, but i DOUBT this is a problem with my PC. zhangm Supervisor Posted June 14, 2003 Supervisor Share Posted June 14, 2003 1). Adware/Spyware 2). Virus 3). "Netsend" ad scam (unlikely) I haven't seen this before. It happens with both Moz and IE? ^ Edit: I think ZA prevents some ads from loading, so that's why you're getting the "Page cannot be Displayed" ads. linsook
well if all dont have it load and you do, then you can come to a conclusion.
Jon
Its you, I'd put money on it. Check your AV settings, run a full scan. Default settings = ######. Check your Adaware sigs..
zhangm Supervisor Posted June 14, 2003 Supervisor Share Posted June 14, 2003 *shrug* Don't need ZA to block these things. IE doesn't like displaying ads on this computer for some reason... But... You could try flushing your cache/cookies. But that first dialog definitely isn't something Moz would put up.
